Using Google Docs and Spreadsheets, etc.
Google has a free
program that allows you to share files in realtime with others. All you need is a free gmail account.
To get started:
- Click here to get a free gmail account
(which also gives you a free gmail email address);
- Make sure you're logged in to your account;
- Click on the "More" tab on the top;
- Click on the "Documents" tab on the dropdown menu
|
We use this tool to work on documents in conjunction with others. For example: when working on a a new sales tool, two or more people can work on it together, and when anyone makes changes on the document, the changes show up on all the copies. Another way to use it is with the spreadsheet function. This is especially valuable when you are using the leads from Cutting Edge Media with your trainer in the Advanced Mentorship Training. Both parties need to have a google email account.
- To share documents, a spreadsheet for example, click the "create" icon;
- Choose the document, or spreadsheet, etc. or whatever, icon that you want to share;
- When the page opens up Click "File";
- Click "Open";
- Then you can choose a file you previously have opened or import a file from your hard drive by clicking the "browse" button;
- If you are uploading a new file, it will say: "File Imported Successfully";
- Click "Open Now";
- To share a file once you have it open, click "File" and then "Share" on the dropdown menu, and enter the email address of the person you want to share it with;
- Once you share a file in this way, either of you can make changes to the file and the changes will be reflected on both computers (for that document only.)
